Step 1: Protect People
- Keep staff or family away from the damaged area
- Block off the opening if it is in a high-traffic space
- Wear gloves when cleaning loose shards
Step 2: Secure the Opening
- Use a temporary barrier if you can safely do so
- Take photos of the damage from inside and outside
- Note whether the opening is street-facing or exposed
Step 3: Call for Emergency Board-Up
